Through her love of dance and the body she found a passion for health and healing.While dancing in New York City she became certified in the Pilates Mat Exercise System through Yogilates inc. Pilates not only helped her train for the rigorous demands of being an injury free dancer, it also gave her students relief from chronic neck and back pain. This peaked her interest in the health field. She continued teaching and touching the lives of others through Pilates, but wanted to add to her repertoire. Massage had always been a profound experience for her, both mentally and physically, so this was her next logical step.She continued her education at the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences. This esteemed College is the most extensive program in the country for Massage Therapy offering a two year Associates degree in Occupational Health Sciences. After graduating in 2005 she gained experience working in spas and health centers in the greater metropolitan area. She felt herself drawn the most to Shiatsu and the Asian approach of holistic healing. Still interested in expanding her knowledge and skills, she moved to Sarasota to attend the East West College of Natural Medicine. She graduated in December, passed her state board exams and became licensed by the Florida Department of Health in 2012. She is a proud educator at the Sarasota School of massage Therapy teaching the wonders of Anatomy and Physiology, Shiatsu Bodywork, and Pathology.Angela's understanding of the body from so many aspects is what makes her a great practitioner. Her personal belief is that a happy person makes a healthy person. Quality of life starts from within and she is dedicated to giving you the tools and the power to do just that.
