There are 22,047,448 registered votors in the state.
12,745,793 voted in the recall and of that number 7,899,351 voted to keep newsom.
So 35.8% of registered votors wanted to keep newsom and only 19.9% of the total population of California voted to keep newsom.
I'd be fairly worried if my numbers looked that bad.
