Here are the top stories in Merrick today: Jerry Barmash reports that a teenager and an 82-year-old man were critically injured in a Nassau house fire. The home was on Marshall Street in Elmont and the Elmont Fire Department also rescued a 14-year-old girl from the second floor and a 75-year-old woman was saved from a window. (Patch) The Daily Voice writes that 32-year-old Jose Urquia Dominguez of Roosevelt, was charged after police said he drove a vehicle while drunk with a two-year-old passenger in the back seat.It happened in Island Park early Sunday morning.
