Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Complete a variety of routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance for assigned apartment communities. Grounds Maintenance - assist with grounds upkeep and all that it involves; mowing, raking, watering lawns, maintaining trees, shrubs, flowerbeds; shoveling snow and de-icing walkways and steps; cleaning/maintaining parking lots, common areas and driveways. Plumbing, electrical experience helpful with replacing faucet washers, seals, stems; installing garbage disposals, understand toilet mechanisms, unstopping blumbing pipes, replace water heaters, skilled copper soldering and other routine plumbing repairs. Know routine electrical repairs, troubleshoot low voltage, 120 volts and 220 volts. HVAC preventative maintenance on furnace and boiler systems, troubleshoot zone valves, replace thermostats. Carpentry experience. Painting exterior and interiors experience. Flooring - Carpet shampooing, minor carpet repairs. Vinyl flooring replacement and repairs, replace transition strips, install baseboards & repair steps.
