CONCORD, NH — The death of a Concord man, shot and killed inside an apartment during the early morning hours on Saturday on the Concord Heights, has been officially ruled a homicide. Cody Tewell, 31, of Concord was shot in the neck and the chin, according to Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg. Weinberg conducted an autopsy on Tewell and made the homicide determination on Sunday. ALSO READ: Concord Shooting Victim Named; Autopsy Conducted SundayConcord Police Investigate Shooting Inside Alton Woods Apartment Limited information is available about the case but according to police dispatch, Tewell was shot and killed by his wife during a domestic dispute around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 2. She reportedly told dispatch Tewell was strangling her, she got her firearm, and shot him. Children were removed from the apartment and given to family members before the woman was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment. The woman, a former career retention specialist and aviation safety mechanic for the U.S. Marines, who was previously stationed in Arizona before moving to New Hampshire, has not been charged. "The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing," Heather Cherniske, an assistant attorney general, said in a statement.
