Horse Farm Help Needed

Looking for part-time RELIABLE farm hand at our small horse farm in Alexandria, VA. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday with flexible start time between 6 am and 10 am for 1.5 to 3 hours of work per day (on average). Ability to occasionally work a couple of hours on a weekend is highly desired (would not be needed very often). Job is all outdoor farm work that must be done regardless of the weather and includes: *Handling horses related to feeding (primarily leading horses on a lead line to and from paddocks) *Feeding grain and hay each day (including handling ~50lb hay bales). *Cleaning and re-bedding stalls *Keeping barn tidy *Cleaning and refilling water troughs *Picking horse manure from paddocks Additional hours for work not listed above are possible. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES AND BE COMFORTABLE HANDLING HORSES. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. Must speak English (bilingual English/Spanish preferred), have valid driver's license, own transportation and live within 1/2 hour drive of the farm. Experience with driving/operating a farm tractor is a plus. Ability to fix fences and other handyman types of skills is also a plus.
