Singer for Original Band or Startup

Hello Craigslist, Mid 30s male singer seeking a local originals project or to start one up. I'm currently in a long distance Prog Metal project, but would like to also do something local. I have mainly done hard rock, but am open to many styles and influences as long as we can create quality music with an edge, I'm all in! People say I have a sound similar to Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Maynard James Keenan...that's nice of them, but in my opinion that's blasphemy. Bands I really dig: Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Animals As Leaders, Radiohead, and Muse. I really like some more modern alternative acts like Alt-J, Glass Animals, Meg Myers, Kaleo, Foster the People, Awolnation, Silversun Pickups, The Black Keys, Joywave, Portugal. The Man, Of Monsters and Men, Modest Mouse, Bastille, MGMT, Gorillaz, Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Phantogram.
