Description

Day-long workshop: get organized for grant season and build your confidence in writing about the art and art education you need funded. Spend the day with four fellow Chicago creatives who have been writing grants for themselves and others for a combined total of half a century!!! We will spend the day looking at the basics of getting and staying organized on grant management so you can spend more energy making art. We will then work on the narrative for an actual grant for you or your organization will be submitting this season, as well as reviewing the basics of organizational finances that are usually required and creating a budget for an individual artist project. Participants will be offered a follow Zoom coaching with a member of the team in the weeks following the workshop. Our hope is to foster writing circles of artists and culture nonprofits who can help each other hone their writing and pass it on to others. Let's all help each other fund our work from a place of bounty, generosity and awesome storytelling. Some food and beverages will be provided.
