VIDA's Día de los Muertos fundraiser to benefit its FREE Take Home HIV Test Kits and Feeding the Homeless Project.
We would like to ask you to join us in supporting VIDA at this year’s Día de los Muertos fundraiser scheduled for Monday, November 1, 2021, between 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Urban MO’s.
Highlights will include performances by Mariachi Continental de San Diego, Grupo Folklorico Herencia Mexicana, the legendary Franceska (hostess), Jazmyn Glam. Destiny Starlight, Deja Re, Barbie Q, and get your face painted by Sergio Cabrera for the painted face contest (cash prize).
Since its formation in 2014, VIDA has worked hard to provide HIV education to help reduce and hopefully eliminate HIV among Latinx youth. Being present throughout the community is essential to reach as many members of our community as possible. VIDA does this in many ways, including informational booths at events all over San Diego including Latinx Pride, National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day and Out at the Fair. We recently began providing free take home HIV tests at these events.
All the money raised will provide scholarships for next year, more HIV test kits, and outreach to the community.

One of VIDA' s goal is to reduce the incidences of HIV transmission in young Latinos while breaking down the walls of stigma, racism, and discrimination. Through bilingual education and outreach, VIDA will promote communication, HIV testing, early treatment, self-empowerment, trust, integrity, and positive living.
Second, is to provide educational scholarships to LGBTQ Latinxs who have made a positive difference in our San Diego community and are working to change the world for better.
Thank you once again for your support!
