Description
Join us to hear from Indep. MO Mayor, Eileen Weir on leadership, Michele DeMoss on resiliency, and Teresa Deaton on being uniquely YOU! This mini-conference for women of all ages has been designed to inspire and motivate us as we live our personal stories. At every turn, challenges can be opportunities to lead despite obstacles, to grow despite grief, and to reach dreams despite the no's. Our stories are all different and sometimes beautiful and often not, but always our stories are our's to write, tell, and live. We hope that this morning will motivate you to do all you want with all you are and with all that you are becoming. We encourage you to support Blendwell Community Cafe and its non-profit CSL by buying breakfast or a coffee, and afterwards, try a lunch sandwich. Thank you to Ana Reyes for providing a great venue and for being one of the Fearless Girls. All ladies are welcome. o entry fee goes to plan future events and charitable opportunities. A donation to CSL will be made on behalf of all Fearless Girls. See you on October 21. Laurie Dean Wiley is just one of the many Fearless Girls. Our local Fearless Girls Coffee & Conversations group came out of a desire to meet with other professional ladies over coffee to solve problems, to share business ideas, and to encourage one another as we navigate life's journey. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at a local coffee shop in Independence, MO. After graduating with a degree in Business and Economics at William Jewell College, Laurie Dean traveled internationally, and served as a volunteer missionary while working in the non-profit field. Laurie Dean started her Financial Services business as a self-motivated entrepreneur in 2010, after a 12 year, successful career in retail management. and is currently a Financial Advisor with a Brokerage firm. With over twenty-five years of experience in leadership, sales-marketing, and people decisions, Laurie Dean has made a career in helping others reach their goals through education, training, or financial planning. She brings a passionate motivation to see women succeed in particular through planning, strong communication, and relationship-building, and is a cheerleader of education and change. Her calling is to serve the needs of others, through her profession and in her community as a servant leader. Laurie Dean is a Board Member on the Independence Chamber of Commerce, the 2019 Chair for the local Habitat for Humanity fundraising, a member of Junior Service League, and serves on several City of Independence committees in the area of economic development. As a female Financial Advisor, she has a strong connection to small business owners, families in transition, and women who mean business. It's very personal to Laurie, and she will be happy to share her story with you. I'm just one of the many, Fearless girls...please join us.
