NEW YORK CITY — Big Apple. Gotham. The City That Never Sleeps. A metropolis. Tall, noisy, yuge.
Maybe now add "most neighborly" to the never-ending list of things to call New York City.
A new study by OfferUp found New York City is the eighth-most neighborly city in the nation. The company — which bills itself as an easy well to buy and sell locally — conducted user surveys measuring buyer/seller ratings of factors such as "friendly" or "communicative."
New York City didn't rank in top 10 last year, but ended up on a list headed by Seattle-Tacoma for two years running.
"When looking at the six key factors comprising neighborliness, Seattle-Tacoma ranked No. 1. for generosity, No. 2 for communicative, friendly, and honest, and No. 3 for punctuality," the study states.
