About Michelle DeHayes: With over two decades of experience in the metro-Detroit wine community, Michelle’s wine career includes restaurant stints from server to general manager and assistant wine director working for an independent restaurant group with over a dozen venues of varying styles. It was during this time that she worked towards and passed the CMS advanced examination earning the Advanced Sommelier credential. These days, Michelle works on the distribution side of wine with a local importer/distributor of fine wines from around the globe. She loves to explore wine country and her travels have included great American wine regions in California, Washington State and New York as well as classic appellations of Spain, Italy and France. Still a restaurant girl at heart, Michelle loves nothing more than sharing her newest wine discovery with whomever is willing.
