Press release from Huntley Community School District 158: October 1, 2021 The application window for the Medical Academy will be opening on October 1st. Current sophomores and juniors who have taken or are enrolled in at least one medical academy class may apply to the Medical Academy. The application window for the Medical Academy will be opening on October 1st. Current sophomores and juniors who have taken or are enrolled in at least one medical academy class may apply to the Medical Academy. Being a part of the Medical Academy allows students to enroll in courses specific to the medical field such as Sports Medicine, Medical English IV, Medical Ethics, PLTW Medical Interventions, PLTW Biomedical Interventions and others. There will be field trip opportunities as well as job shadowing opportunities that other students will not have access to. As part of the Medical Academy, students may opt to receive a transcript designation or certificate of completion stating that they were involved in the Medical Academy at Huntley High School.
