COPA Soccer Training Center is proud to be partnering with United Soccer Coaches to host a coaching education courses for soccer coaches or those who would like to become soccer coaches in our area. Coaches will be able to earn a United Soccer Coaches diploma taught by a member of United’s National Academy Staff and COPA STC Train Program Manager Drew Heuer. The United Soccer Coaches Coaching Development Courses reflect the current soccer landscape with a focus on small-sided games and allows all types of soccer organizations to deliver useful coaching education from novice to intermediate in an accommodating way. Course price: $55.00/each course Register here: 7v7/9v9 Blended Course This combined course for the next level of coaching is a 3-4 hour in-person course focuses on the 9–12-year-old player. Content highlights player development, principles of play, technique, and tactics with small-sided games. When: Saturday, October 9th Time: 2:00pm-6:00pm 11v11/Pre-National Course Moving up the continuum of age levels to the 13 and above player, this Diploma is designed for an intermediate coach. This 3-4 hour in-person course focuses on the 11v11 game with topics including the modern numbering system, formations and systems of play, player competencies and defensive and offensive tactics. When: Saturday, October 16th Time: 2:00pm-6:00pm You do NOT need to be a United Soccer Coaches member to attend this course. Attendees who are not currently United Soccer Coaches members will also receive a free month trial membership for participating the course which includes access to their digital Soccer Journal, Online Resource Library, and e-Newsletters.
