Established band looking for a bass player. We are a 3 piece band (sometimes we add a 4th piece, a drummer depending on venue but not lately) who have been playing together on and off for over 15 years. I am rhythm acoustic guitar and lead vocals, second guy plays lead guitar but also plays pedal steel, harmonica, banjo, etc. and sings harmonies. And the bass player...YOU. Our bass player moved, hence the open spot. We have had very tight, 3 part vocal harmonies so you need to be able to sing harmonies. Also you’d be welcome to sing some leads to give me a break. Usually the other guys always take lead vocals on a few songs during a gig if there's something you want to sing yourself. We love to do our own unique take on songs that showcase our harmonies and each members specific talent (if you have one).We play all types of rock from early classics (always acoustic style versions), to newer rock, to a bit of country thrown in, you name it. With the variety of instruments the lead guitar man plays, we can really do anything. Songs/bands we do include Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Allmans (Blue Sky and a great version of Whipping post towards the end of the night...), Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, some acoustic Zeppelin, grand funk, Jason Aldeen, Beatles, Lyle Lovett, etc. We like rock, country, blues, anything we can jam to and get the crowd into it. We practice till it sounds tight. You get the picture. I'll email or text you an old set list if we get that far or maybe post a set list to this ad. We usually play out once or twice a month. We enjoy outside venues and usually start out the night with mellower quiet material and ramp it up from there but depends on the crowd and venue. We’ve had several long standing gigs at a friends bar as the house band. Later on another house arrangement at a local marina. We want to have fun and play music. We don't care how old or young, as long as you can play and sing. No ego’s and no bull shit. We all have a few beers during practice and gigs. If that’s a problem fuck off.
