Weekend Assistant Horse/ Farm Caretaker

We are seeking a part time person to assist in the caretaking of the MI Funny Farm. Your responsibilities will include feeding, cleaning up after, and caring for the horses, chickens and growing farm animal family, along with general maintenance around the property as directed by the Caretaker. This is a part time position and shifts would generally be Saturdays & Sundays 8am-5pm and available shifts during the week. Requirements: +Must be 18 years or older +Available to work weekends (10-16 hours) and during the week (10-16 hours) + Previous experience working with animals +Must enjoy animals and be confident around them. +Ability to use hand tools and small power equipment; pressure washer, leaf blower, etc. +Ability to lift at lift 80lbs- hay bales, poop buckets, rocks and debris cleanup +Self-motivated and takes initiative in tackling tasks in an independent fashion +Reliable + Must have a Driver’s License +Team player +Great Communicator + Takes direction *Background check required to qualify for position.
