Black cat in Auburn is probably lost

For a month or so this cat has been in the bushes behind our company in Auburn. I thought it might be feral. It wouldn't come near anyone. I would leave it food and day by day it would come closer. It comes to me now and is very friendly. He'll let me pick him up and he just hangs there without struggling. It's a male. It has one ear clipped and my vet said it was done to show he's been spayed. He'll jump into my car like he's ready to go for a drive. I never had a cat that would willingly get in a car. He's a strong cat like a little panther. And not picky about food. He'd be a great cat for a biker. Or maybe a Satanist! Halloween is coming, he sure could use a house to haunt. Black cats might be bad luck crossing your path but I'd bet it would bring good luck to care for one. He's very appreciative. He can't come home with me. I already have a senior female cat that would not tolerate an interloper. We're are down off Main St. in Auburn. Anyone with a rescue service is welcome to contact me as well. Text me if interested. He's free to a good home.
