Can anyone help with a att or Verizon 4g smart phone

Started a new job that requires me to have a working phone, after getting ripped off at outlocal Verizon store for 300 dollars for a crappy phone that sells for just over 100 this phone screen won't light up.the phone is garbage and I need to work to buy a new one and can not. If anyone can spare a extra phone they don't use i would put a good wo4d in for them with jesus and secure your spot in heaven...God bless
