DOT medical card holders and experienced drivers start higher. This is a full time opportunity that will lead to a regular driving position after a comprehensive training period. We are looking to fill long-term permanent openings. If you are looking for short-term employment, Please do not apply. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes to drive, and likes to interact with people. It is an entry level, no experience required position offering the applicant the ability to receive on the job training and receive valuable experience in driving a truck as a career choice. The training involves starting as a delivery helper. You will go out with one of our experienced drivers for a number of weeks and be trained to safely drive and operate a company provided, 16 foot box truck. Proof of Covid 19 vaccination required. A valid, in state (Pennsylvania) driver's license is required. A clean driving record is a requirement. Our insurance company will run a background driving record check. C.D.L certification is not a requirement. A medical certificate would be required. This is standard for any truck driving position. You would be required to have your own vehicle to bring you to and from work - as some days require overtime or an early start, a reliable means of getting to and from work every day would be required. Buses running late and unavailability of rides to work will not be accepted. Timeliness is a must. We need to be able to rely on you to show up when scheduled. Same days start with deliveries or pickups that require a specific time. We deliver equipment for special events. Tables, chairs, china etc. We do not setup this equipment. Some heavy lifting is required, but we work smart with state of the art material handling equipment. You would receive comprehensive training on our equipment. You would also be given highly valuable and thorough customer service training on how to interact with our valued customers. The work week is generally 40 hours, consisting usually of Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime is available (mandatory) and is paid at 1.5 x rate after 40 hours. During our busy seasons (and days) the hours may extend beyond 5:00 pm and start earlier than 8:30am. This is required (not optional) Due to the varying start and finish times, we require that you have your own vehicle. This requirement is simply to ensure that you will be able to arrive when instructed. You will be driving company provided vehicles. If you have a commitment that requires you to be out of work at precisely 5:00 pm, this position would not work out. Must be available for the rare evening assignment. This cannot be a second job. Driving requires you to be alert and safe. Some weekend work would be required when necessary. Occasionally we have a night pickup/delivery and that may occur on a weekend. Location: Willow Grove Pa.
