Hi -- I'm moving to Fort Collins soon and scoping out the scene. I play bass and keyboards (guitar too, but less confidently) and I sing a bit as well. Musical taste is all over the place. I listen to a lot of the mighty Sleep/High on Fire/Om triumvirate, but the Cure was most formative for me. Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros and Swans are other favorites, as are Kraftwerk, Xiu Xiu, Swans, the Legendary Pink Dots, and Sufjan Stevens. I'm not particularly into modern jam bands (which seem to be prevalent in Colorado), but I do enjoy the Dead. Any potential collaborators out there? Genre is, as you've probably inferred, up in the air -- whatever emerges. Goals are modest: record some songs, play some shows, feel creatively fulfilled. It's been a minute (six years or so) since I've been in a band and I want to make music again. I'm in my mid-40s but age is pretty unimportant if we click. I make video games. That and music keep me young. Vaccination required, naturally.
