Description
I have an oil tank in my basement which was new 8 years ago, but I converted to gas, and the tank has just been sitting there raised on a platform. At the time I was told there was 6 or 8" of oil still in the tank.
A few weeks ago I noticed a smell in the basement and it took a while to figure it out, but the tank has sprung a couple of tiny leak(s) on the bottom. At first I thought it was just at the connections, but it actually seems like the tank may have a few pin holes maybe from sitting stagnant all this time. There is a small stain on the platform it's on and I don't want it to get worse.
I need someone competent and reasonable to come and get the tank out and haul it away. I have bilco doors so getting it out of the basement is no problem. I’d also need the connections to the tank removed/finished off properly.
