LOST YOUR PET BIRD? PLEASE READ!

I'm a bird lover with decades of experience working with Exotic Bird Rescues and Sanctuaries. I'm heartbroken by all the posts looking for their missing birds that have flown away. Unfortunately, these birds are very rarely recovered. They will "fear" fly until they die from exhaustion, starve, freeze or killed by stray cats and other predators. If you truly love your avian companion..... PLEASE clip your birds flight wings. It is painless, cheap to have professionally done and easy to do yourself. I understand that some owners believe their birds need to be "free flight" to be happy. Not true. They adapt very quickly and it will actually increase bonding with their humans. Most importantly, do it to keep your bird safe.
