Description

Ollie is a stray who was likely dumped, but he is one heckuva good boy! He plays well with other dogs, but really loves to stick by his caretaker’s side. He’s the boy who will sit by the window waiting for you to come home. Ollie would do well in most types of homes - with or without other dogs or kids (no, we don’t know how he’d do with cats, chickens or livestock.) He’d prefer to be an indoor dog because he really devours human attention, and probably wouldn’t make a good livestock guardian. If he had the choice, I think Ollie would choose a home with an active young man who will take him jogging or hiking. (In our foster home, he immediately attached to my young adult son, and won’t leave his side!) He’d also do really well with a long-distance trucker, as that would mean he could spend lots of time exploring new places with his owner. He’s got good potential for being a hunting dog with a little training as well, since he’s got a good amount of energy. Ollie is an active boy when it’s playtime, and knows how to settle down when it’s rest time. He’s very smart and will learn new things easily; he’s also very fast and agile, and can easily jump our 4’ fences. We are guessing he’s about ten months old and is likely UTD on shots, although we haven’t taken him to the vet ourselves. He is not yet neutered. I’m guessing he’s about 70 lbs, give or take. If you think you can provide an awesome home for Ollie, please text or email me, and be sure to tell me about yourself and your home situation.
