Join Vive NW, the National Forest Foundation, the US Forest Service and Sandy River Watershed Council for a tree planting activity! Join Vive NW, the National Forest Foundation, US Forest Service and Sandy River Watershed Council for a nature walk and tree planting activity on October 23rd! We will be restoring Mt. Hood National Forest by planting trees, spreading seeds and picking up trash. We will also be learning about some of the amazing ways that salmon, the river, and forest interact to protect each other! We look forward to having you be part of this great initiative while making new friends and giving back to yourself and nature! We have limited space for volunteers, please be sure to register. This fun and rewarding event will conclude with a catered lunch! ***Additional details*** Date: Saturday, October 23rd Meeting time: 8:00 AM (departing at 8:30 AM promptly) Meeting location: Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center (in the parking lot): Address: 5600 NE 42nd Ave, Portland OR 97218 (we will depart promptly at 8:30 am) Event duration: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM What to bring: Be sure to dress in layers and wear sturdy, comfortable boots (waterproof if possible). Please keep in mind that you might get muddy. **Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian** **Vive NW and our community partners are following all recommended COVID-19 guidelines and following all precautionary measures to help maintain the health and safety of our volunteers. We ask that all participants and staff maintain a safe social distance and use a face mask.
