Drummerly Drummer Drums Wanted

Description

Band in startup phase. We need a drummer with an advanced playing level and the musical DNA and ears to react to what's going on and create parts that enhance the work. Songs are sketched out in scratch tracks. The next step is to do play throughs with drums, get a vibe going then add melody and lyrics. We want the songs to sound really good--worthy of airplay and sales, so we're not rushing it at this point. This is how song development takes place in pro level original bands. It's work. But it's worth it in the long run when the finished product sounds way better than slapdash indie stuff that wasn't well thought out or conceived in the first place. If you're the type that wants to do a cover of a demo, no revisions, this ain't it. The workflow I outlined wasn't thought up because I want to be a jerk. I want the stuff to stand above the rest so we can make sell records, tour and play shows that generate revenue. Some songs may not be your personal cup of tea; that doesn't matter. Some songs will definitely not be my personal cup of tea either, even though I wrote them. That doesn't matter either. Just do good work on them. That's all we ask. If the song is catchy and working well, not overly derivative, we'll be doing it. We won't be standing around arguing about musical direction. That's what people do when they want to stay in the same spot musically and emotionally. If you are looking for really good stuff that you will be 100% happy with every day, week, month and year with you should write it yourself or hire somebody to write it for you. So, have a big league IQ about musical direction issues. If you're into one thing and one thing only, can't get into anything else, won't do anything else, incapable of and/or resistant and uncooperative to anything outside a narrow scope of genres then this will not work out. Creativity matters. But musician folks seem to have forgot about that element and that's why music is very stagnant these days. **Include a sample and your contact information in your response.** We'll leave it up to you what style music to send. If you sound like a good fit, no hiccups in your playing or timing, then you'll definitely hear back from us. If your playing is average and ordinary you won't hear back from us.
