“Autism Speaks” Fundraiser/Raffle @ Buckeye Bourbon House for Team Carter Tickets are $30 each. Included will be 3 bourbon pours specially chosen by the Buckeye Bourbon House staff, along with access to raffle items only available to those who attend. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each at the event. The event will take place approximately 6-9pm, with the raffle prize drawings at 8:00pm. We will accept Cash, Venmo, or PayPal at the event for additional raffle tickets. All proceeds from event tickets and raffle ticket sales will be donated directly to our Team Carter page. The bourbon community has been incredibly supportive through this entire process. I have received donations through various groups along with many from local distilleries and breweries. Raffle prizes will include various bottles of bourbon/whiskey, unique samples, distillery tours, gift cards, merchandise, etc. For those who cannot attend, you will receive one raffle ticket for every $5 donated directly to our "Autism Speaks" team page. Please follow the link below, and post a screenshot with your donation to our Facebook page/private message me so that I can assign raffle tickets. The raffle drawing will be recorded for those who may win but aren't present. Winners who are not in attendance will be responsible for picking up their items from me when able, or coordinating a meet-up location. I will have a table set up with Autism information & so that I can hopefully speak to you each individually. I’ll also have Carter & our family present to enjoy the experience. I hope that you can join us for a night of understanding, accepting, conversation, and bourbon drinking! ——————————————————— My 3 year old son Carter was diagnosed with Autism . What Is Autism? Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. This is seen in ~1/54 kids. We are fortunate enough to have had access to many great therapies and specialists here in the Columbus area. Our goals are to raise awareness, acceptance, and also funds for those who are not as fortunate as us. I created Team Carter a few months back with the thought of just getting family and close friends together to walk and support Carter. Little did I know that it would become as big as it has! In that short time, we have raised over $11,000 and have taken over the lead as top team in the Columbus walk to be held Sunday October 10th. https://act.autismspeaks.org/site/TR/Walk/Ohio?team_id=118000&pg=team&fr_id=6180
