Love Fest is back and we are excited to join together with you all again in a nourishing, playful, and beautiful celebration of life! Hello friends! We will be hosting another community-filled, playful, connection-oriented Love Fest this year to celebrate the change in seasons and share in arts and crafts, meals, music, dance, time around the fire, and workshops together in a safe and intentional communal space. Our intention with this weekend is to co-create a space to slow down, connect with ourselves, the Earth, and one another, and be able to have the space to show up exactly as we are, be seen and held, and play and have fun with lovely human beings. If you attended last year, please note that we will be holding this gathering in a new space, which is where I am currently living. We are located in a neighborhood with plenty of neighbors and thus the nature of this event will be peaceful, lowkey, family-friendly, and respectful of our home, our neighbors, and the land we will be gathering on. We have a very spacious backyard, a cozy garage, and a sweet home which are all spaces that can be occupied during this event. We live in the downtown Harrisonburg area so this space will not be free of road noise and noise of neighbors. Parking details: We want to avoid filling up the streets in our neighborhood and luckily there is a spacious and free parking deck within walking distance. Please park at Water Street Parking Deck, which has an upper and lower level. You are more than welcome to arrive at our home first to unload your stuff and then relocate your car and take a nice walk and soak in this lovely little town on your way back to our home. We are also more than happy to be available to pick anyone up from the parking deck if that is a need or want, please contact us and let us know if assistance is required. ~Workshops~Is there something you are passionate about that you would love to offer as a workshop? Whether a workshop on movement, play, music, nature, philosophy, life skills, or literally anything else; we fully invite you to lean into your leadership skills and practice sharing something you are well-versed in or simply excited about/newly learning. This space is all about soaking in the opportunity to lean into and share the essence of who you are and the magnificent gifts that you DO innately have within you, and to be witnessed by a loving community as you share the beauty of who you are. If this excites you, please reach out to Fadia (571)-244-9945 to put yourself on the schedule for facilitation. We would like for this event to be as nourishing to each individual, and the group as a whole, as possible. Therefore we will not be providing any alcohol and discourage the use of alcohol as the nature of this event is to really sink in with ourselves and one another in a way of integrity, respect, and nourishment of the heart and soul. So please consider staying sober or using substances in a mindful and responsible manner. Covid awareness: As you all know we are still in the midst of a global pandemic that is only rise in numbers in this area of Virginia. We ask that if you are sick, have been tested positive with covid, or have been exposed to it, please care for yourself and our community and STAY HOME. Though we encourage vaccinations and/or masks in this space, they are not required and we trust your autonomy to show up with an awareness of the overall well-being of yourself and those around you. And please be sure that you actively ask for consent about people's physical boundaries and where they are at with their needs in regard to distance, safety, and personal space. Check-in, communicate, and ask for consent always, please! Please contact Reya (703)989-4690 or Fadia (571)-244-9945 for any questions or concerns
