Stigma FREE Zone 10/15-10/17 Friday, October 15th Pick up race package Location: Dive N’ Surf: Redondo Beach Time: 4-6pm Saturday, October 16th “Paddleboard Race” presented by Dive N’ Surf Location: 2nd St Hermosa Beach ( 2nd St to Buoy and back) Time: 7am: check-in / Race: 8am /10am raffles Paddle race relay or solo paddle. Up to 10 participants. 1 km each (10k). Mini course available 2 hours Max. Saturday, October 16th “Run/Walk Race” presented by Harbor Hearing Location: 2nd St Hermosa Beach ( 2nd St to Pier and back) Time: 3:30pm check-in / Race: 4pm /6pm raffles Run/Walk race relay or solo run. Up to 10 participants. 1 km each (10k) 2 hours Max. Sunday, October 17th “Swim Race” presented by The Swim Guy Location: 2nd St Hermosa Beach ( 2nd St to Buoy and back) Time: 8am: check-in / Race: 8:30am /12:30pm raffles Swim race relay or solo swim. Up to 10 participants. 1 km each (10k) Mini course available 4 hours Max. Quick intro of Ocean Fever: Ocean Fever is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to exposing children and young adults to open water swimming, ocean safety, open water activities, ocean education and environmental awareness; introducing various career paths associated with it and fostering a lifelong relationship with the ocean. Ocean Fever participants will also get exposure to running on various terrains, paddle boarding and surfing. We are an all-volunteer organization made up of coaches, lifeguards, parents and high school athletes focused on water activities and sports in and around the ocean. We are focused on encouraging youth leaders in our community to become Ocean Fever mentors. We pride ourselves in giving back and helping our community! We offer many outreach programs including, helping the front line workers, feeding the needy, working at local events on and around the beach, Promoting International Water Safety Day (IWSD) among other events.
