We went to high school together and a few years ago I went out to eat at a restaurant and you sat at the table right next to ours. I knew it was you immediately, however I didn't say anything or wave hello, and I'm sorry about that. It's been haunting me that I didn't acknowledge you, I saw you staring at me for a good amount of time. I was on a first date with that guy and he was already showing signs of low self esteem, even if it wasn’t blatantly obvious, so I didn't want to make things weird for him. I haven't seen that guy since that first date but that's not the point. I just want to say it wasn't polite to ignore you. Hope you are doing OK.
