One Rockford is a community-based investment plan from the Rockford Housing Development Corporation. Tell us how to invest on the West Side! This event is a community open house for One Rockford (https://www.1rockford.com/). As an open house, please feel free to arrive any time during the 5:00-7:00 time period -- you will not be late! We will have food & drinks. Event is kid- and family-friendly! Through One Rockford, the Rockford Housing Development Corporation will be seeking to invest in areas west of Kishwaukee. Our vision for this effort is to join together with residents and partner organizations in Rockford to ensure families and individuals in our community can live, grow, and thrive. The goal of this meeting is to gain community input on: What types of investment are needed on the West Side?What values need to inform investment?How can RHDC partner with residents and community organizations to best create a a healthy community where every resident is valued?COVID Protocol: This will be an indoor event, so please be prepared to wear a mask when not eating or drinking. We will have different event stations for social distancing.
