You're invited to join fellow Mississippians cleanup, improve and beautify a gateway to our capital city. Parking will be located on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds. Enter the High Street entrance, take a left to circle around the new Trade Mart. Parking will be on the south side of the Trade Mart near the big white tent. Lunch will be provided to volunteers from 12-12:30 under the big white tent and sponsored by City Limits Cafe. Water and softdrinks will be sponsored by Mississippi Beverage Association. Keep Jackson Beautiful, Inc. (KJB), a non-profit local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, offers a diverse range of environmental education programs and activities to schools and community groups, including but not limited to litter prevention, recycling, beautification, literacy, capacity building, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement programs. Since 1961, KJB has worked effortlessly with community volunteers and the City of Jackson, MS to implement projects and programs aimed to improve the quality of life for residents and is dedicated to changing attitudes and behavior towards environmental issues. Through our specially targeted programs and activities, individuals develop a heightened awareness about environmental stewardship while learning that individual and collective efforts can make a positive impact on environmental conditions.
