I'm interested in taking on an apprentice for the 2021-2022 arts season. This person would learn hands on about painting, sculpting, experimental art, digital art and body painting. The person would work along side the artist to create work in the studio. Most important the apprentice would learn how to master creativity and make it a part of their daily life. This is not a class. The person chosen becomes a second set of hands and eyes for the artist as they embark on several major projects through the autumn and spring. This is a voluntary position, not a pay position. This is not easy work. You will be required to be with the artist multiple hours and put the test of your developing skills throughout the apprenticeship. Age and gender do not matter nor does background experience or schooling. The artist will choose the person(s) that matches the goals of the apprenticeship the best and truly wants to excel as an artist and develop their own careers. The artist is embarking on a major project by the beginning of November, so applying soon will get you in the door sooner. Apply with a short letter of introduction and why you wish to be a part of the apprenticeship. Make sure you include contact information and links or photos of any work you've done as an artist. Not being an active artist does not exclude you from being chosen. Intent and interest goes a lot further than background.
