PALM HARBOR, FL — The intersection of Belcher Road and Nebraska Avenue has reopened following a chemical spill. Pinellas County sheriff's hazardous materials crews were called to clean up a toxic chemical spill at the intersection of Belcher Road and Nebraska Avenue. The spill occurred Friday just before noon when a vehicle collided with a pool company truck, spilling 50 gallons of chlorine and two gallons of muriatic acid in the road. No waterways were impacted. One man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
