Minimalist shoegaze jangly duo seek instrumentalists

Hello. Seeking instrumentalists - ideally a lead guitarist who can also dabble in keys and a minimalist drummer who may or may not dabble in other instruments - to join with us to make jangly shoegazy minimalist music. Maybe you write your own songs that match well with our style, or maybe you are not a songwriter. Our influences include Luna, Yo La Tengo, the Clean, Stereolab, New Order, Joy Division. We are low drama, high emotional intelligence, mature people, seeking others with similar vibes. Communication, listening, give-and-take, low ego, no band drama, queer friendly, no misogyny or douches are all important. We have regular jobs and families and lives and these are important too us as well. We are a male rhythm guitarist/keyboardist/singer (39) and female multi-instrumentalist (49) who for this effort is mostly the bassist but also is a solid drummer, can get along on basic guitar and keys, and has a home studio. We are experienced musicians and while we are easy-going, we are serious about our music. Our vision is to play some gigs and record some material. Seeking musicians who know how to tune and play their instruments, have functional gear, and show up generally on time. Not important that you be a virtuoso, just have the chops to play this kind of music, and be able to listen and react as part of a musical team. We are vaxxed and for now we are being Covid safe by masking all the time when indoors and are seeking others who do the same.
