We have so much to celebrate! We have something to celebrate--Join us! The Perfect Fit empowers unemployed women in the Lehigh Valley with the clothing, skills, and confidence necessary to find a job and build a career. For 21 years, the Perfect Fit has provided critical services at important transition points in the lives of 10,000 women and girls, allowing them to contribute economically to their families and community. The Perfect Fit’s services include professional and uniform clothing, mentoring, professional development workshops, and paid work experience and are needed more than ever to support the many women who were displaced due to the pandemic and to assist them as they rebuild their careers. We do not do this work alone. The Perfect Fit is a true community collaboration. Our power comes from the women and girls we serve, and from our volunteers, referral partners, local businesses, clothing donors, and supporters who work together to empower us to transform the lives of women throughout the Lehigh Valley. Thank you! ****************************************************************************************************** IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATIONWe have two ways to register for our Outfit to Empower celebration: In-Person Registration: The full luncheon experience, including networking, silent auction, raffles, wine pull, plated lunch, and featured speaker, Elaine Zelker, who will guide us to draft our own personal mission statements! Please note that we encourage vaccination for all attendees who plan to dine in-person at this event. Hybrid Registration: Please join us in-person for the first hour of the event for networking, silent auction, raffles, and our wine pull. Then, we'll box up your lunch "to-go" to enjoy at home or the office along with a brief video program. Masks are requested for all during the first hour of the event and until those who are dining in-person are seated at their table. Thank you for your understanding and support as we provide an event experience that is mindful of the health and safety of our community and comfortable for all. ****************************************************************************************************** Schedule:11:00 AM: Networking, silent auction, raffles, wine pull 12:00 PM: Winners of the Susan Bella Jewelry raffles chosenSilent Auction closesAttendees with hybrid tickets pick up their boxed lunches and leave to enjoy lunch at home or in the officeAttendees with in-person tickets move to the dining room for their plated meal 12:10 PM: Luncheon program begins, featuring speaker Elaine Zelker, ENTREPRENEUR + PHOTOGRAPHER + BRAND STRATEGIST Elaine's mission is to EMPOWER others to utilize their gifts and talents to rise & soar! She will guide us to dive deep into ourselves to build and create our own personal mission statements. 1:00 PM: Program ends Thank you for celebrating with us! The Perfect Fit for Working Women is the signature program of YWCA Allentown and was created by 5 local community organizations in 2000. Our program has since grown to accept referrals from over 75 social and community service agencies, and has helped more than 10,000 unemployed women in the Lehigh Valley prepare to enter or reenter the workforce by providing career clothing and job readiness skills training, at no cost to them. Our clients become more confident, have increased self-esteem, and an enhanced capacity to succeed, both personally and professionally. Our ability to serve in this unique way depends on the generosity of individuals and businesses within our community. Donations are taken by appointment during business hours. We accept modern, current season, new and gently used business and business casual clothing, shoes, handbags, and costume jewelry along with scrubs, nursing shoes, and winter coats. New makeup, toiletries, and undergarments are always appreciated. Appointments are available by referral only.
