If anything about Rob Gronkowski can be low-key, it might be how his planned return to Gillette Stadium has been so overshadowed by Brady-palooza.
But as it turns out, Gronk's Foxborough homecoming may not be in the cards. The Tampa Bay tight end was listed as doubtful in Buccaneers' injury report Friday, indicating there's a real strong chance he misses Sunday night's game.
Gronkowski got knocked out of last Sunday's game against the Rams and needed rib X-rays, which came back negative. He returned to the game, but has clearly been hurting in the days since.
The future Hall of Famer won three Super Bowls in New England before coming out of retirement to win another with Brady in Tampa Bay.
