Join Bright Star at Hospice of Health First for our annual fall grief day camp! Camp Bright Star is a bereavement day camp sponsored by Hospice of Health First for youth and their families who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives. Children ages 5 to 12 participate in a camp experience that facilitates emotional support and grief education with fun, interactive camp activities. Activities are led by Hospice of Health First and Bright Star bereavement specialists, registered nurses, and volunteers. This year, priority will be given to campers who have not previously participated in a Camp Bright Star. Space is limited. How will my child benefit? They will have opportunities to process grief in health ways Make friends who have similar experiences Honor and remember loved ones Have fun! Fast Facts: Time: 9 am-3 pmRegistration is required for all campers. We do not allow same day registrations.Cost: Free! Lunch will be provided the day of! We ask that your child have a good breakfast before coming to camp. Please ensure your child is in comfortable clothes and sneakers for camp activities. *In response to COVID-19, Camp Bright Star will follow recommended COVID precautions to ensure the safety & well-being of campers, families, and volunteers. Our Bright Star Bereavement Coordinator will communicate safety protocols to families prior to the camp program. * If you have any questions or need assistance, please call 321-434-7622.
