TOBY is looking for his forever human(s). This 7 year old boy is full of love and snuggles, and is ready to gaze lovingly at you through his tender hound-retriever eyes. Neutered, up to date on shots, Mill Creek, WA, requires a fenced yard. Toby is being re-homed because his current guardian (a family member) is no longer equipped to care for him, and needs to focus on their personal health. The rest of the family loves Toby and we’re sad we can’t work something out to keep him with us, but we know he deserves better. Toby needs a home that is child-free and will stay child-free, and he would love to be your only pet. He’d be OK with a slow introduction to another dog, so long as the other dog is of the submissive type—he shows dominance toward other dominant dogs, but also does OK at dog parks (he loves puppies). While he can be a little hard-headed and needs someone strong to handle him on a leash, he’s also the sweetest stay-at-home boy when you’re not out adventuring. He adores being pet, eating your kitchen scraps, and basking in the sun. He’s generally very good with house-manners, but has been picking up on his current guardian’s anxiety and barking more when left alone, and has had one accident recently. This is part of how his guardian realized Toby needs more than he can provide right now. He’s previously been fine being alone for a full work day (but would also be psyched if you’re a remote worker looking for an adoring coworker).
