Major Food Group is seeking a Multi-Unit Restaurant Handyman / Facilities Manager in Miami, Florida. Job Summary: Perform reactive repairs across multiple restaurant location, perform proactive improvements as needed to support overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the restaurants, and monitor preventive maintenance agreements to ensure quality and compliance within each restaurant. Duties and Responsibilities · Performs repairs at Restaurants as needed on finishes such as tile and millwork, basic plumbing and electrical, mechanical, electrical, kitchen and other equipment and finishes as needed. · Conducts site walkthroughs with Restaurant Managers with the purpose of building actionable repair and maintenance action item lists. · Ensures Restaurant fire safety equipment (exhaust systems, make up air, annul, extinguishers, fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) are operational and code compliant with local laws. · Notifies the Director of Facilities when major repairs are needed. · Demonstrates courteous, friendly professional restaurant work environment. · Demonstrates a commitment to providing the best possible experience for our restaurant guests and employees. · Must wear safety attire (non-slip shoes, and other PPE as needed) Knowledge and Skills · Extremely organized and detail oriented. · Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment in a restaurant environment. · Must be able to effectively communicate. · Must possess knowledge of restaurant electrical, mechanical and preventative maintenance systems. · Must possess working knowledge of restaurant carpentry, plumbing and painting. · Must be able to work under minimal supervision. · Must be able to focus on details. · Must be able to read, write, and understand English language. · Must have basic knowledge of arithmetic. · Ability to stand on their feet for long periods of time. · Ability to maneuver and handle heavy equipment and machinery. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate preferred. Preferred technical diploma from a trade college. Experience: Restaurant facilities maintenance experience required. Strong multi-unit restaurant technical skills with preferably a minimum of three years of facilities management experience. Facilities management experience directly supporting multiple locations is preferred.
