UHCL : Hundreds Served At Community Food Distribution Event

Press release from University of Houston-Clear Lake: September 30, 2021 Qatar Charity partnered with University of Houston-Clear Lake's Diplomacy Institute in a food distribution event that provided over 6,000 boxes of food to the community. Ninety-four volunteers assisted at the two drive-through events, which took place Saturday, Sept. 25 at UH-Clear Lake's campus and the Pearland Recreation Center and Natatorium. The 30-lb boxes of food were purchased through the Houston Food Bank. Each box contained enough food to make numerous healthy meals with ingredients appealing to people across diverse cultures. "We are an incredible team and we are demonstrating our stewardship in our region," said UHCL President Ira K. Blake.
