AUSTIN, TX — Austin City Limits Music Festival is back, which means it's time to grab your glow sticks, glitter and, more importantly, your good vibes. This year's festival is set for Oct. 1-3 and Oct. 8-10 at Zilker Park in downtown Austin. Whether your plan to just focus on the music or enjoy everything that the Live Music Capital of the World has to offer, there are plenty of things for you to do on both weekends. Here are five things you can do at this year's music festival. See your favorite Drag Queens live at ACL For the first time in festival history, ACL Fest has invited live drag artists to grace its stages this year. "RuPaul's Drag Race" alumna Trixie Mattel will perform at the Tito's Handmade Vodka stage on Sunday, Oct. 10, and Austin's Louisianna Purchase will curate a showcase each Friday. Louisianna Purchase, who was featured on Dragula Season 3, became the festival's first-ever drag performer during its virtual show in 2020. More shows to look forward to: The Best of Austin Drag will perform at 6 p.m. Friday at Bonus Tracks stage. Check out ACL Fest Nights. Go beyond Zilker Park and experience your favorite artists at iconic Austin venues around town with 2021 ACL Fest Nights. Satisfy your tastebuds (and stomach) at these food trucks at ACL From tacos and burgers to sweets and alcoholic treats, there will be dozens of food vendors at this year's festival on-site in Zilker Park. Here's a list of some of our faves: Amy's Ice Creams, Austin's Pizza, Chi'lantro BBQ, Torchy's Tacos, Southside Flying Pizza, Black's Barbecue, Tiff's Treat's and more. Find a band you've never heard before. You may have bought tickets to see your favorite artists, but it's a great opportunity to explore new acts. There are dozens of local, up-and-coming artists on this year's lineup. Since you've paid for the full festival, you might as well make the most of it and explore. Besides, who knows? The celebration will kickoff from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Oct. 1-3 and Oct. 8-10 at Carpenter Hotel, 400 Josephine Street, in downtown Austin. The event will offer pretzels, brats, beer and wine, and coffee from the cafe. Hot L Coffee will be available to purchase with Biergarten Bucks (purchasable on entrance to the Biergarten).
