Precision Safe Sidewalks is a rapidly growing, privately held corporation that offers a patented repair service to assist municipalities and privately owned properties in managing their sidewalk infrastructure. We help our customers meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and manage their sidewalk assets to make them safer by reducing trip and fall liabilities. We are seeking individuals to join our survey and GIS team in North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. Our service is a new technology and a green building practice offered exclusively by Precision Safe Sidewalks. Candidates are not expected to have experience, but experience in GIS technology is desirable. Candidates would: · conduct physical site surveys, evaluating sidewalk infrastructure for deficiencies; · Use GIS programs, like ArcGIS, to analyze and synthesize data · periodically speak with residents and/or business owners during sidewalk surveys; · work with operations teams to understand specifications, project scope and programs. Precision Safe Sidewalks has structured a mentoring program that will lead successful candidates from entry to senior level to support multiple territory managers. Ideal candidates: · enjoy working outdoors independently and sometimes with a small team; · will travel throughout North Carolina with the possibility of some overnights; · be comfortable walking, driving, and riding a Segway in project areas; · be eager to learn, excited by the adventure of working with a broad group of customers and locations, and be challenged by a steady growth in types of projects surveyed; · develop a strong skill set with hand held mobile devices using applications such as Excel, Power Point, GPS, and Geographic Information Systems.
