The firm has a contract valued at $250,000 to provide both armed and unarmed security services at several city buildings. In light of CEO Tom Conley's emails, the city will no longer consider doubling the funding for a private security firm. (Associated Press) The Clive Police Department recently started a K-9 program to help better patrol the city. They currently have one K-9 named Dutch who was sworn in on Sept. 10. The program was fully fundraised with help from the community. The K-9 unit will help with drug-sniffing and community outreach.
