SAN CLEMENTE, CA — San Clemente Council Member Steve Knoblock filed a police report against Mayor Pro Tem Gene James after Tuesday's city council meeting, in which Knoblock alleged that James "put a hand on him" during a heated conversation, Voice of OC reported Wednesday.
The incident took place amid a post-meeting discussion between James and Knoblock, according to Voice of OC. During the council meeting, Knoblock made a motion to strip James of his title of Mayor Pro Tem after James got into an argument with a sheriff's deputy in June.
