19 Speeding Tickets Doled Out During Child Passenger Safety Week

WHEATON, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Office issued more than two dozen citations for speeding, running a stop sign and other violations during its Child Passenger Safety Week campaign. No seatbelt or child safety seat tickets were given out, a news release said. The violations issued during the campaign, which ran Sept. 17-30, are as follows: 19 speeding tickets 9 tickets for disobeying a stop sign 1 ticket for distracted driving 1 ticket for expired license plates Child Passenger Safety Week is part of a statewide push that uses increased patrols, media campaigns and other initiatives to raise awareness about keeping children safe in vehicles.
