Press release from the Piedmont Unified School District: September 30, 2021 At approximately 7:30am, a contractor working at the Performing Arts Center on the Piedmont High School campus struck a gas line causing a leak. As a precaution, students arriving on campus were evacuated to outdoor portions of campus while PG&E and Piedmont Fire inspected the scene. The gas has been shut off and PHS students are returning to class. No other PUSD schools were affected. This press release was produced by the Piedmont Unified School District.
