3 Battery Incidents In Elmhurst: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — Police responded to three battery incidents in the last few days. Here is information from police reports: Sean Frank, 19, of Palatine, was arrested shortly before midnight Wednesday at Shell gas station, 654 W. North Ave., on two counts of battery and a count of obstructing identification. In the same incident, Bobby Lucci, 24, of Ephraim, N.J., was cited on a charge of obstructing identification. Both were released on bond. According to a police report, Frank struck a person in the face and was then pepper-sprayed. He and Lucci then drove away in a white SUV. Police stopped them. They gave police false names. A person grabbed a woman, pulled her out of her car, knocked her to the ground and struck her about 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. An officer saw injuries on the woman's body. Police obtained a warrant for domestic battery.A woman told police that a man threw an object at her about 10 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Yorkfield Avenue. The man said he threw an ice cube at the door and that it did not strike the woman. Because police found no signs of injuries and the statements conflicted, no arrests were made. The incident was labeled a domestic battery investigation. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt.
