SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN — FEMA said Friday it pushed the application deadline for people seeking federal assistance in regard to the June 25 and 26 severe storms and flooding to Nov. 12, according to news release.
The extension applies to those living in Wayne, Washtenaw, Macomb and Oakland counties.
Individuals and families can use the money for rental assistance, essential home repairs, personal property and vehicle losses.
Assistance may also be available for other serious disaster-related uninsured or underinsured necessary expenses or unmet needs.
Individuals can register with FEMA online or through the mobile app.
People can also apply by phone, calling 800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585) from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern seven days a week.
