GEORGIA — Investigators say they believe a home intruder was killed when he encountered a pair of large pit bull terriers living in the house, according to reports.
Coweta County Sheriff's deputies were called to the home on Walt Sanders Road near Georgia Highway 29 near Newnan around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, when a man's dead body was discovered on the property, Sheriff's officials told Patch.
Coweta County Sheriff's deputies and the Georgia Bureau of Investigators soon ruled out homicide as a manner of death.
An autopsy eventually determined that the man had been mauled when he ran into the dogs living there, according to Sherrif's Office reports, and investigators found evidence that he had been inside the home.
Authorities identified the man as 21-year-old Alex Binham Abraha. Investigators told Patch that the homeowner didn't know Abraha or why he was inside the house.
No charges are being filed against the homeowner, according to reports.
