Position description: We are looking for a self-motivated person who is looking to take ownership of their position and the duties that they will be responsible for. In this position you will be expected to handle a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to those below...you will report directly to the Operations Manager. It’s the roofing mechanics responsibility to cover the roofs of structures with various roofing systems. • To inspect roofs to determine the best process in which to repair or install roofing. • Erect proper equipment to safely gain access to the work area. This includes, but is not limited to; 1. Ladders 2. jacks and boards 3. safety rails 4. ropes 5. anchors, and other such equipment. • Is required to have skill and knowledge that allows said individual to competently install watertight roofing systems. • Can fill the laborer and helper position at any given time if required. • Supports the foreman as necessary to encourage, train and guide the laborer and the helper. • Works diligently to progress towards being a foreman.
